These photos from the Watsonville Fire Department Archives show their 1970 Van Pelt.  This rig was powered by an 855 Cummins diesel motor paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank.  Thanks to Don Jarvis for sharing these photos.
