The Orange Fire Department has always been progressive.  One such example was Engine 3, a 1995 Seagrave fitted with a Snozzle.  Engine 3 is powered by a 60 Series Detroit Diesel engine paired with an Allison Automatic transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,500gpm pump, 400 gallon booster tank, 30 gallons each of Class A and B foam solutions and a model P-50 Snozzle.  It looked good on the drawing board but in reality the Snozzle lacked the versatility the Dept. hoped it would have and it saw limited use.
The Snozzle was later removed, making E3 a normal pumper and the City later purchased a Seagrave Quint with a 75 foot ladder which has been much more useful in a practical sense.
