| The City of Westminster is located in the northwestern corner of Orange County, CA. Westminster was founded in 1870 and was incorporated in 1957. A paid department was formed in 1961 which replaced the volunteers. The city covers an area of approximately 10 square miles with a population today of about 88,000. The Westminster Fire Department served the city out of 3 stations and over the years owned 6 pieces of apparatus built by Crown, all of which may be seen below. In 1995, the city of Westminster consolidated its fire protection services with the then newly formed Orange County Fire Authority which took over the city's 3 stations. |
