| The Garden Grove County Fire District #1, also known as the Garden Grove Volunteer Fire Department, was founded in 1926. EJ Tobias was appointed the first fire chief. In 1956, the city of Garden Grove incorporated. The Garden Grove Fire Department took over fire protection from the district in 1958. Since then, the Department has grown to 7 stations and maintains an ISO Class 2 rating. |
