Eugene Fire Department Station 6 opened in the fall of 1998 serving the northeast part of Eugene.  It was constructed using funds from the "fire redeployment" levy passed by Eugene voters in 1995.  The Sheldon Station houses an Engine company as well as the Oregon Region 2 Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Response Team.  It also houses the city's Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Staffed units include Engine 6 and the HazMat Team.
