This water tender was originally built for the American River/Carmichael, CA Fire Department.  Through consolidations, it became part of the Northwood Fire District serving Cool, CA where she was simply known as "The Queen Mary".  After being declared surplus in the mid-90s, she was sold to the Ozawkie Fire District #7 in Kansas.
Carrying serial number F1376, she was originally powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline engine with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and fitted with a 1,500gpm Waterous pump and 2,500 gallon water tank.
This tender is one of three built by Crown Coach.  The other two being F1042 for Huntington Beach and F1653 for Juneau, Alaska.
