This 1974 Crown TeleSqurt was purchased by Santa Cruz County and it served the community of Live Oak originally as Ladder 1.  Carrying serial number F1720, it is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 engine with an Allison Automatic transmission and is fitted with a Waterous 1,500gpm pump, 200 gallon water tank and 75 foot TeleSqurt.  F1720 was retired from Live Oak in early 2003 and now is used for training at the Rio Hondo College Fire Academy in southern California.
F1720 is now leading an honorable retirement in southern California at the Rio Hondo College Fire Academy in Santa Fe Springs training new fire fighters.
