Santa Ana Fire Department Engine 9 is a 1976 model Crown, F1736.  It was built by Crown as a stock unit and actually not sold to Santa Ana until 1978.  She was also originally painted yellow which was the departments color for a brief time in the late 70s.  E9 features a 50' TeleSqurt, 1500gpm Waterous pump and a 500 gallon tank. E9 is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6n71 engine paired with an Allison Automatic transmission.  F1736 was retired in 2002 and sent to auction.  She is owned today by a collector.
