
| This 1971 Crown Firecoach is pictured here after it went into service at the Grant County Fire District #5 in Moses Lake, Washington. Assigned Crown Coach serial number F1673, this rig was originally sold to the Multnomah County Fire District #10 in Oregon and went into service as Engine 9 for the City of Gresham. She left Los Angeles painted chrome yellow, same as the many school buses that Crown produced, and underwent a modernization while at Gresham. The ladders on the captain's side were remove and replaced with two compartments, a new lime paint job was applied and it was topped of with new mini light bars replacing the Federal gumball lights. In July of 1984 Fire District #10 was consolidated with the Portland Fire Department and F1673 went on to serve Portland until 1993 when she was retired. She was then purchased by Grant County where she continued service as Ladder 50. She is fitted with a 1,250gpm Waterous pump, 500 gallon water tank, 50 foot TeleSqurt and is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 paired with an Allison Automatic transmission. L50 served the community of Moses Lake in Grant County, Washington until October 2009 when she was retired. |

| Upon retirement in October 2009, F1673 was purchased by a collector and driven south to her new home in southern Oregon. She underwent a major cleanup and is having some minor backdating done. This includes removal of the compartments on the captain's side and replacement of the ladder rack as well as replacement of the Federal gumball beacons. |
