| The City of Freemont, CA purchased this ladder truck from Crown in 1975. Serving as Truck 1 until she was retired, she carries serial number F1732. She is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 with an Allison Automatic transmission and fitted with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump, 300 gallon booster tank, and fitted with a Maxim 100 foot aerial ladder. She is now owned by a collector. This is one of only six Crowns built with a mid-mount aerial ladder and only one of two 3 axle rigs built in this configuration with the other being sold to Salt Lake County, Utah. |
