Truck 3 was retired by the Arcata Fire Department in November of 2002. Today this rare Crown mid-mount ladder is proudly owned by California Fire Museum founder Darrell Gilbert.

| The City of Arcata, California Fire Department purchased this Crown mid-mount aerial in 1971. She served as Truck 3 throughout her career at Arcata and carried Crown Coach serial number F1663. Truck 3 is powered by a International 549 gasoline engine with a 6 speed Allison Automatic transmission. F1663 is fitted with a 100 foot Maxim aerial ladder and is 1 of only 4 built by Crown with a mid-mount, 2 axle configuration. Truck 3 was retired by the Arcata Fire Department in November of 2002.
