The City of Orange purchased this Firecoach Snorkel in 1962 where she served as Truck 22.  With Orange being
one of the earliest cities established in southern California, this compact truck was well suited to the narrow streets of
the downtown area.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1284 is was originally powered by a Hall-Scott 1091
gasoline motor paired with a Fuller 5-speed manual transmission.  She was later returned to Crown and repowered
with a Cummins NTF-365 diesel motor retaining her original transmission.  This rig later served as Truck 5.  F1284
was retired and sold in the early 90s and was acquired by collector Hewy Wick.
