| The photos shown on this page are shared with us by Chris Arnold with a promotional photo from the LAFD. These photos taken on Fire Service Day in 1969 depict LAFD's Snorkel 3 during the short time she was in service. The City of Los Angeles purchased this Snorkel in 1968. She carried Crown Coach serial number F1500 and LA City Shop number 60219. She was assigned to Station 3 in the Downtown area where she stayed for the duration of her short career. She was powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline motor with an Allison Automatic transmission and fitted with an 85 foot Snorkel. This rig was painted chrome yellow which LA City used to identify special purpose equipment. |
