| In 1963, the City of Idaho Falls, Idaho purchased this Crown with 85 foot Snorkel. Carrying serial number F1318, she was powered by a Waukesha gasoline motor with a manual transmission. In 1985, she was repowered with a 6-71 Detroit Diesel motor keeping her original transmission. This rig was in continuous front line service serving the City of Idaho Falls through mid-2006 when she was replaced by a new ladder truck. Throughout her service life, she remained remarkably unchanged, save for the opticom added above the siren. |
