This Crown Snorkel was purchased new in 1966 by the City of Eureka, CA where she served as Truck 1.  Upon retirement, she was purchased by an individual intending to use her in a painting business in Montana.  He began converting her by stripping the water-way off of the boom as well as making other modifications.  Apparently the business plan eventually fell through and she is pictured here for sale.  She is powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and fitted with a 75 foot Pittman Snorkel.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1425.  Thanks to Brian Bills for sharing this information and photos with us.
