F1414 is a 1965 Crown Snorkel which was originally owned by the Covina Fire Department where she served as Truck 2.
As built, she was powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline motor with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and later
repowered with a 8v71 Detroit Diesel motor.  She is fitted with a 75 foot Snorkel, 1,250gpm Waterous pump and 200 gallon
water tank.  She was later repainted lime and eventually sold to the City of Live Oak, CA.
She was sold to a used apparatus dealer in 1990 and then once again sold to the A-1 Tree Service.  Matt Monson sends in the
photo below when she was at work in December of 2002 in Napa, CA.  She is in rough but restorable condition for the person
that this rig really means something and hasn't been butchered up like so many Snorkels converted to tree trimming trucks.
