|This 1966 Crown Snorkel was originally built for and purchased by the Sunnyvale, California Fire Department.
When declared surplus by Sunnyvale, it was picked up by the Running Springs, California Fire Dept. Once again, it
was declared surplus and was purchased in 2001 by the Clarksville, Virginia Volunteer Fire Department in
Mercklenberg County, VA. Carrying Crown Coach serial number F1458, she runs as Truck 4 and is fitted with a
1,000gpm Waterous pump, 500 gallon tank and 65 foot Snorkel.
It's been reported that F1458 has been finally been retired in late 2009 and has been seen in the are where she was
last in service being used as a deer stand.
