The City of  Deerfield-Bannockburn, IL purchased this Crown Snorkel new in 1968 and it was one of few Crowns that were originally sold to departments east of the Mississippi.  After being retired by Deerfield, she was sold to the Town of Chilhowie, VA where she served for a short time.  She again exchanged hands and was purchased by the Glade Springs, VA Fire Department for $38,000.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1535, and is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 engine with an Allison Automatic transmission, 1,250gpm Waterous pump, 200 gallon water tank and a 85 foot Pittman-Snorkel.
