Snorkels
Crown built approximately 78 Snorkel type fire apparatus in a variety of configurations ranging from 50 to
85 feet in elevation.  The first being built in 1961 for Elko, NV and the last being built for Arcadia, CA in
1979.  Several of these were built on commercial chassis including the first built for Elko, some of which
were not issued serial numbers.  Only a single Snorkel was built on Crown's wide cab chassis which was
sold to Arcadia.
