| F1354 was formally retired from service by West Covina in 1991 but was adopted by the Department's Explorer program. Under the Explorers and leadership of West Covina firefighters, she continued to be maintained and was very nicely refurbished. She saw use until 2004 when she was sidelined with some mechanical and major electrical problems. In July 2010, F1354 was recovered from West Covina by Bill Hoeft and Paul Krot and shipped east to Denver, Colorado to collector Steve Carmac. Steve undertook the issues that originally sidelined the rig in 2004 and did a small scale refurbishment and had her on display at a muster put on by the Longmont, CO Fire Department. |
