The Vernon Fire Department purchased this Crown pumper in 1961 where she was first assigned to Station 1 and operated as Engine 11. She was fitted with a 1,750gpm Waterous pump and 500 gallon booster tank. She is powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline motor paired with a Fuller 5-speed manual transmission and carries Crown Coach serial number F1227. |

F1227 had her hard suctions removed in the early 70s and had them replaced with high compartments. She was then reassigned to Station 4 and spent the duration of her career there. In the mid 80s, F1227 was renumbered Engine 24 to fill the reserve position at Station 4. |
