The Vernon Fire Department purchased this Crown pumper in 1961 where she was first assigned to Station 1 and operated as
Engine 11.  She was fitted with a 1,750gpm Waterous pump and 500 gallon booster tank.  She is powered by a Hall-Scott 1091

F1227 had her hard suctions removed in the early 70s and had them replaced with high compartments.  She was then
reassigned to Station 4 and spent the duration of her career there.  In the mid 80s, F1227 was renumbered Engine 24 to fill
the reserve position at Station 4.
