Reserve Engine 916 was purchased by the City of Torrance in 1981 where it was assigned Engine 2 at Station 2 located near the Torrance Municipal Airport.  Although she carries E916 now, she is still staioned at Station 2.  Like many other pieces of Torrance's apparatus, E916 is equipped with a dry chemical extinguishing system to serve the airport and refineries located in within the city.  Carrying Crown Coach serial number F1849, E916 is powered by a Cummins diesel engine with an Allison Automatic transmission.  E916 is fitted with a 1,500gpm Waterous pump, 500 gallon water tank, and a Fire Boss dry chemical extinguishing system.
