Torrance Fire Department Engine 914 is this 1973 Crown.  E914 carries serial number F1688 and is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and has about 81,000 miles on it in April of 2003 as well as retaining all of her original Crown guages.  F1688 is fitted with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump, Fire Boss dry chemical extinguishing system and a 300 gallon water tank to allow for a extra large hosebed.
