| The Sierra Madre Fire Department purchased this Crown used from the Los Angeles County Fire Department in the late 1970s. Built in 1955, this rig was originally assigned to Station 82 in La Canada and carried Shop number 49534. She served Sierra Madre as Engine 42 and later as Engine 43. She was originally powered with a Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Fuller 5-speed manual transmission and carried Crown Coach serial number F1046. She was equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and a 600 gallon water tank. This rig was modernized in 1982 by AGA Repower. This work included an enclosed cab and a new NTF-350 Cummins diesel motor. |
