This Crown Firecoach pumper was the last built with an entirely open cab and remained in that original condition until retired in early 2006.  Built in 1975 for Sanger, California, she was one of two Firecoaches purchased by the city.  Carrying serial number F1733, she served as Engine 1.  She is powered by a Cummins NTC-350 diesel motor with a manual transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 500 gallon booster tank.  She was retired by Sanger when I visited in February of 2006 and was hidden under a tarp pending disposition.
