This early 80s photo by Don Feipel shows Salt Lake County, Utah Engine 67.  Carrying serial number F1716 and Salt Lake Co. shop number 347, she is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6n71 with an Allison Automatic transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 750 gallon water tank.
In 1987, Salt Lake Co concieved an idea to completely enclose the cabs of several older apparatus including thier Crowns.  F1716 was one of the rigs chosen for this project and was completely rebuilt in 1990.  This included a fiberglass enclosure over the jumpseat area of the cab.  The 2005 photos below by the webmaster show F1716 after being rebuilt at the Salt Lake County Regional Training Center having just returned from Station 65 where she was filling in for the regular rig.
