| This widecab Firecoach was purchased by the Redlands, California Fire Department in 1981. Carrying Crown Coach serial number F1855, she went in to service at Station 1 alongside the city's 1975 Crown ladder truck. She is fitted with a Waterous 1,500gpm pump and 500 gallon tank and is powered by a Cummins NTCC-350 diesel motor paired with a Spicer SST6 6-speed manual transmission. In late 2007, F1855 was taken out of service by the city and donated to the Crafton Hills Community College in the nearby City of Yucaipa. She continues in service today in the schools fire science program and is well liked by both students and instructors. |
