The Town of Paulden, Arizona acquired 2 Crown Firecoaches from Los Angeles County in the
early 90s.  They served the volunteer department through 2005 when it was disbanded and Paulden
received fire protection services from the nearby Chino Valley Fire District.
This Crown originally served Los Angeles County in Temple City as Engine 47.  She carries serial
number F1761 and was built in 1975.  She is fitted with a Waterous 1,000gpm pump, 500 gallon
water tank and powered with a Cummins NTC-350 diesel motor with an Allison Automatic
transmission.  She carried LACo Shop number 49369.
F1761 was acquired by collector and retired LACo Firefighter Dave Barron in September 2010.
Dave shares that he spent a significant amount of time working off of this engine in Temple City
and he looks forward to restoring this rig.
