Orange County Fire Authority Engine 972 is a 1980 Crown Firecoach, shop number 5198.  E972 is fitted with a 1,250gpm Waterous pump with a 500 gallon tank.  Carrying serial number F1833, it is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 with an Allison Automatic transmission. 
F1833 originally served the old Airport Station as Engine 27 before being reassigned to the City of Yorba Linda in northern Orange County as Engine 10 and finally as Engine 25 in Midway City.  After serving as E25, she became E225 before joining the relief pool as she appears in these photos.
