The Nevada Division of Forestry absorbed Engine 9 from the Reno Fire Department.  Engine 9 is a 1970 Crown Firecoach carrying serial number F1634.  She is equipped with a 1,500gpm Waterous pump, 750 gallon booster tank and carries 100 gallons of class A foam solution.  She is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 with  Fabco 4 wheel drive and transmission. This rig was formally retired in 2005 and sold at auction.  She exchanged hands a few times before being sold on eBay with a cracked head on the Detroit motor.  She was purchased by collector Jim Koenekamp who capably repaired her and now has her appearing at various events around southern California.
