Montvale, New Jersey was one of Crown Coaches largest customers east of the Mississippi River having purchased 4 Crown Firecoaches over the years.  This stunningly beautiful example of a wide cab Crown is a 1983 model.  M4 was built with a 1500gpm Waterous pump, 500 gallon tank, powered by a Detroit Diesel 6v92 engine with an Allison Automatic transmission and carries serial number F1860.
The photo below shows off a stellar example of a hoseload that rivals if not better than some big city departments.  Other photos below are shared by Andy King and were taken on June 8, 2002 at the 89th Annual New York/New Jersey Volunteer Fireman's Association Parade in Hillsdale, NJ and the Parkridge, NJ Volunteer Fire Department's annual Wetdown held on October 4, 2003.
