The Manhattan Beach Fire Department purchased this pumper from Crown Coach in 1965.  She is fitted with a
Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank and carries serial number F1404.  Originally powered with a
Waukesha gasoline motor, she was repowered in 1976 with a Cummins V903 diesel motor and retained her original
5-speed manual transmission.  She last served Manhattan Beach as Engine 24 before being donated to the El Camino
College Fire Academy in Inglewood.
She has since been retired by the College and has been acquired by firefighter Ryan Ammons who is in the planning
stages of restoring this rig.  Special thanks to Ryan for the photos and information!
