| The Mammoth Lakes Fire Department purchased this wide cab Crown Firecoach in 1979. It is unique in several ways. It is the third of only 3 Firecoaches built with four door cabs. It is the only wide cab Firecoach that was built with four doors. It is the only wide cab Crown built with 4-wheel drive. Carrying serial number F1811, she is fitted with a Waterous 2,000gpm pump which is de-rated to 1,500gpm due to the high elevation and a 500 gallon booster tank. F1811 is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v92TAC with an Allison Automatic transmission and Fabco 4-wheel drive. |
