This Crown Firecoach was purchased by the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 1965 where she was placed in service at
Station 54 serving the City of South Gate.  She was the 8th piece of apparatus received out of an order for 17 purchased by
LACo in 1965.  She was built with an open cab but is shown here 2 years later with a partial fiberglass cab enclosure.  The cab
was later closed in the 1970s by the County shops.  She was powered by a Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Spicer
5-speed manual transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump, a 150gpm Byron-Jackson PTO powered
booster pump and a 500 gallon water tank.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1391 and carries shop number 49223.
