This 1955 Crown pumper was recovered by CFE member Matt Monson from an equipment yard in Lake Havasu, Arizona in derelict condition.  Despite the badly worn paint and general tired condition, she is remarkably still in the same general configuration as she was when she left the Los Angeles County Fire Dept for the last time.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1045 and LACo Shop number 49121.  She first served as Engine 45 in Lakewood and plans are to restore her to her original factory configuration with an open cab as Engine 45.  She is still powered by her original Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and is fitted with a Waterous 1,250 pump and 500 gallon tank.
