Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 34 was purchased in 1963.  She carries Crown Coach serial number
F1294 and LACo Shop number 49187.  She was originally powered by a Hall-Scott 191 gasoline motor with a
Fuller 5-speed manual transmission and is fitted with a 1,250gpm Waterous pump with 500 gallon tank as well as a
PTO powered Byron-Jackson 150gpm high pressure pump.
F1294 went through the program like nearly all other LACo Crowns and had her cab enclosed in the early 1970s.
She was repowered with a Cummins NTC-290 diesel motor in the early 80s.  Upon retirement, she was acquired by
a collector and has been undergoing the slow process of being restored to her appearance as delivered.
