This Crown Firecoach was purchased by the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 1965 where she served as Engine 8 and later as Engine 208 serving the city of West Hollywood.  She was originally built with an open cab which was enclosed in the late 1970s and powered by a Hall-Scott 1091 gasoline engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.  She was repowered with a Cummins 855 diesel motor and an automatic transmission.  This rig is one of two fitted for LACo with 2,000gpm Waterous pumps and manifolds.  The booster tank capacity is 400 gallons and she carries shop number 49203.  She carries Crown Coach serial number F1393 and is owned by a collector.
