|This Crown Firecoach pumper was built in 1977 for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. She originally served as
Engine 16 in the South Central area of Los Angeles and carries Crown Coach serial number F1784. She was assigned
LA County Shop number 49379 and was the last of an order for 5 identical pumpers received by LA County in 1977.
This was also the last and final standard cab Crown (but not the last one built) that Los Angeles County received.
She is powered by a Cummins NTF-295 diesel motor paired with an Allison Automatic transmission and is fitted with a
Waterous 1,000gpm pump with a 500 gallon water tank.
F1784 is now owned by collector Ron Ihle.
