| Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 14 is a 1955 Crown serving the South Central area of Los Angeles. She was delivered as part of the second order of apparatus from Crown by LA County. She carries Crown Coach serial number F1033 and LACo Shop number 49111. Engine 14 was slightly modified by the 1960s by having a fiberglass enclosure added to the cab and is one example of many variations of these enclosures. This was part of a process that the Los Angeles County Fire Dept was experimenting with before it committed to fully enclosed cabs for its apparatus. As built, F1033 was powered by a Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Fuller 5-speed manual transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank. |
