|Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 127 is shown here at Station 127 in the City of Carson and is one of several Crown pumpers that have been assigned to this location over the years. E127 is a 1965 Crown Firecoach, serial number F1388, LACo Shop number 49214. She was originally powered by a Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and is fitted with a 1,250gpm Waterous pump with 500 gallon tank.
F1388 was filling in for Engine 95 in Gardena when her crew was responding to a call and collided with a tractor-trailer carrying steel in an intersection. Following the investigation, the decision was made to scrap the rig instead of rebuilding it.
