|Wagon 3 is a 1953 Crown Firecoach built for the Los Angeles City Fire Department. She carries
serial number F1003 and LA City Shop number 722. Built as a High Pressure Hose Wagon, she was
equipped with two 150gpm Byron Jackson high pressure pumps driven through a PTO and a 400
gallon water tank. She was powered with a Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor with a Fuller 5-speed
manual transmission. F1003 first went into service as Wagon 16 serving the El Sereno area of the City.
When F1003 was formally retired by the City of Los Angeles, she was parted out by the City Shops to
help keep the rest of the fleet of Crown apparatus running.
