This rig started life as a High Pressure Hose Wagon serving Echo Park at Station 20 in 1957.  As built, she was
equipped with dual Byron Jackson 150gpm high pressure pumps and a 400 gallon water tank and powered with a
Hall-Scott 935 gasoline motor paired with a Fuller 5-speed manual transmission.  She was assigned Crown Coach
serial number F1087 and LA City Shop number 780.  In 1977, this rig along with several others underwent a
rebuild program to extend the life expectancy of the apparatus.  F1087 emerged rebuilt into a light water unit, later
renamed foam carriers.  Among other modifications, the hose bed was removed and replaced with a 360 gallon
foam reservoir.  She went on to serve Station 34 in the Crenshaw area as LW34 and later on as FC34.  F1087
was used in front line service through 2001 when she was replaced by a new Freightliner foam carrier.
