This 1974 Crown pumper originally served as Engine 3 in Los Angeles.  This rig carries Crown serial number F1700 and is powered by a Cummins 855 diesel engine with a Spicer 5 speed manual transmission and is fitted with a Waterous 1,500gpm pump with 400 gallon water tank.  It is one of 9 Crown Firecoaches purchased by the City of Los Angeles in 1974.  Engine 3 first served Downtown Los Angeles near Bunker Hill and last served at Station 99 in the community of Beverly Glen.
