| This 1961 Crown Firecoach pumper was purchased by Snohomish County, Washington. She went into service in District 1 serving Thurston. She carries Crown Coach serial number F1243 and was originally painted white. As built, she was powered by a Waukesha F817G gasoline motor paired with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump and 700 gallon water tank. F1243 was later sold to Cowlitz County Fire District 4 where she went into service in Ryderwood, WA. She was refurbished shortly thereafter and repainted red. F1243 was retired and offered for sale in early 2009 and was purchased by a collector. |
