|The Corona Fire Department purchased three nearly identical wide-cab pumpers from Crown in 1981. The three carried serial numbers F1845, F1847, and F1848. This pumper originally served Station 3 and carries serial number F1848. She later served as a reserve engine at various stations throughout the city. F1848 is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8v71 engine paired with an Allison Automatic transmission and is fitted with a Waterous 1,500gpm pump and 500 gallon tank. After being retired by the Corona Fire Department, F1848 went south of the border and is now in service in Ocotlan, Mexico.
