| This 1970 Crown pumper was originally owned by the Buena Park Fire Department. After retirement, she was purchased at auction by a local fire sprinkler company and used for many more years testing dry standpipes in buildings. She was finally cast aside by the sprinkler company and wound up in a used equipment lot in the Antelope Valley. She carries serial number F1629 and is powered with a Cummins 855 diesel engine with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission and equipped with a 1,500gpm Waterous pump and 400 gallon tank. A special thanks to Don Pogue for sharing these and many other images of Crown Firecoaches on this website for all of us to enjoy! |
