| Vernon purchased their new Truck 1 in 1974 not to replace but to supplement their older Hi-Ranger. Like the older unit, it was built on a Ford C chassis with an 85 foot Hi-Ranger articulated platform and was assembled by Van Pelt Fire Apparatus. Unlike the older unit, this one was completed entirely by Van Pelt and had no work done on it by Crown. |
