| The Signal Hill Fire Department purchased this pumper from Crown in 1963. Signal Hill consolidated its fire protection services with the County of Los Angeles in 1968 and the City's only fire station became Station 154 for the County. Engine 154 utilizes a Crown Firecoach body mounted on a GMC 7000 chassis and was assigned County Shop number 49235. Carrying serial number F1322, she is fitted with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump, 400 gallon water tank, as well as a Byron-Jackson 150gpm PTO driven pump. She is powered with a GM V-12 gasoline motor paired with a Clark manual transmission. She was repainted from her original white color to red in early 1973. |
