| Truck 219 was custom built for the Cowlitz Fire District #2 and served Kelso, Washington. It has a Pierce body fitted to a 1972 Ford C-8000 cab and chassis. T219 is equipped with a Waterous 1,250gpm pump, 800 gallon tank, and 55 foot Snorkel. In this era, Crown Coach Corp. was the west coast marketing and sales agent for Pierce Fire Apparatus. These rigs were commonly known for having Crown badges affixed to them, in this case on the engineer's compartment ahead of the pump panel, by employees when they arrived in the Crown plant in Los Angeles for set up prior to delivery. |
