| In the mid-70's, the Chino Valley Fire Department purchased a Pierce mini-pumper through Crown who mounted it on a Dodge Power Wagon chassis. In 1985 after the Dodge was worn out, the body was moved onto this 1985 Chevrolet Silverado chassis. It was retired in 2002 and purchased by a collector. Crown did not assign this unit a serial number. Crown Coach was the west coast dealer for Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, WI. It was normal for Crown to receive Pierce apparatus at the time for set up prior to delivery and apply Crown logos to the finished product. |
